Koalas
have been for time immemorial one of the animals that one finds as a toy or a
stuff animal etc. Unique even though it is many have also tried to make koalas
with seas shells. It is very simple to make such koalas and can be easily put
together by glue. These types of toys are best made for those who are in
Montessori schools and classes. In fact during training as teachers one needs
to learn craft, or while teaching artwork to students of junior sections also
one can use these tricks to make koalas. I came across this tutorial on Google while i was browsing through.
What you need :
Shells - properly cleaned-of various shapes and sizes
Glue to stick the shells together
Marker
It
is mandatory that one uses shells of different shapes and sizes. Preferable the
single side shells are used when making animals of this kind. One can choose a
big size shell for the body and a medium sized one for the face. Two small
shells would act fine for the years and four for the arms and legs. One has to
try the trial and error method to see which arrangement of these shells look
the best. Only after you are satisfied should you glue them on. You can add a
little tail and a nose with the help of markers or paint to give your koalas a
more realistic feel. Then they are ready to be played with!
