If
you step out of your doors you would find a lot of trees with leaves of various
shapes and sizes. It is advisable to not pick those from the trees but one can
surely collect the ones that have fallen. Remarkably these leaves are of
various colours- some light green, some dark green, some yellow and in certain
cases colours like red are also found. Once you have picked up those leaves see
that they are nice and clean and dried. If not, then you can keep them inside a
heavy book to flatten them, make them more dry and give them the right texture
and colour. A time period of a week or two should be fine for doing this. However
you should avoid such leaves which are dirty or have been eaten into.
We found this easy tutorial on Martha Stewart. Hope you ll give it a try.
What you need :
Dried leaves
Glue
Once
your leaves are ready you can cut them into various shapes and sizes to make
animals or alphabets. You can use different textured leaves or leaves of
various sizes and colours to make such animals and alphabets.
After cutting out
the parts place them once on a heavy sheet of paper to see the outcome. If you
are satisfied with it them go ahead and glue them onto the sheet. Put a
transparent sheet on them to dry the glue and remove it. You have your leaf
animals or leaf alphabets ready.
